Before installing the Big Brother client, you should have a running installation of the Big Brother server on your network. The client software can only provide information through a Big Brother server. At a minimum, one working BBDISPLAY server is required.
To install the Big Brother Windows Client:
1. Go to the directory where you downloaded the installation file.
2. Double-click the bbntpe-420.exe file (the file name may be different depending on the version you are installing) and click "Next" on the Welcome splash screen.

3. Accept the Big Brother license agreement.

4. Enter your name and a company name.

5. Click "Next" to accept the default installation directory, or, click the "Change" button to install into another directory then click "Next".

6. Click "Install" to begin the BBClient installation.

7. Click "Finish" to complete the BBClient installation.

After clicking the "Finish" button the BBClient software and Windows Service will be installed. When the software copy completes the Big Brother Client Configuration Editor (GUI) will appear.

To complete the installation and start reporting local system information to your Big Brother Server, you must:
1. Configure the "DISPLAY hosts" and "PAGER hosts" fields. These fields should contain a resovable hostname, FQDN or IP address of your Big Brother Server.
2. Verify the system name (FQDN) in the "BB Name Alias" field is exactly the same, character for character, of the device as it's defined in the %BBServer%\etc\bb-hosts.cfg (Windows), or, $BBServer/etc/bb-hosts (UNIX/Linux) file.
Click the "Save" button then click the "Start" button. Shortly after you start this Big Brother Client your BBDISPLAY will look something like:

Now you can add more devices to your BBServer\etc\bb-hosts.cfg file and install more BBClients...
Happy monitoring :o)
